Shannon Shares a Message

On Sunday, October 27, 2024, Encounter Church was blessed to have Shannon Conforti step in and deliver a powerful message while Pastor Jamie was away. Shannon’s sermon focused on a theme that speaks to the heart of the Gospel and the mission of the church: unity within our community.

Shannon walked us through the biblical call to unity, reminding us that the church is one body with many parts, each uniquely gifted but all working together for God’s glory. She unpacked passages like 1 Corinthians 12, explaining how true unity is not uniformity—it’s diverse people coming together under the lordship of Jesus Christ.

She emphasized the importance of “oneness”—a unity so strong that it reflects the very heart of God. This oneness isn’t just about agreeing with one another; it’s about being deeply connected in love, purpose, and mission. Shannon reminded us that in order to be one with one another, we must first be one with God.

Shannon’s message challenged us to evaluate how we live out unity in our personal lives and as a church.
