Stacy Shares A Message on Our 20th Sunday
On April 17, 2024, Encounter Church celebrated a major milestone—our 20th Sunday as a church family! This special day was marked by a powerful message from Stacy Jordan, who reflected on the incredible journey God has led her and Pastor Jamie through to bring us to this very moment.
Stacy shared how, after 26 years of ministry in 3 different states, only God could have orchestrated the path that led to the birth of Encounter Church. She reminded us that every step along the way—both the highs and the challenges—was used by God to prepare them for what He is now doing through this new church plant.
To illustrate this, Stacy talked about walking in boots with the words “trust” written on the left boot and “obey” written on the right. She shared that this has been their guiding principle for years. That simple rhythm—trust and obey—is what has carried them, step by step, to this exact moment.
Stacy also announced that Encounter Church has been blessed with a grant from Alive Wesleyan Church in Central, South Carolina through their church-planting initiative, Project 20. This bold mission aims to plant 20 new churches in 10 years, and Encounter Church is humbled and honored to be number five on that list.
This partnership is not just financial support; it’s a reminder that we’re part of a much larger movement of churches committed to reaching people with the love of Christ.
Stacy’s message was both a celebration of all God has done and a challenge for all of us to keep taking steps of trust and obedience as we move forward. She reminded us that Encounter Church is God’s church, and He will continue to lead us as we seek to reach our community and beyond.
Thank you, Stacy, for your faithful leadership and for helping us see how God’s hand has been on this journey from the very beginning. As we look ahead, may we continue to step forward—trusting and obeying—into all He has for Encounter Church.
