Night of Praise

On October 6, 2024, Enrich (the home of EC) hosted its powerful “Night of Praise”—a beautiful community gathering centered on worship, testimony, and hope. “Night of Praise” brought together believers from across our city, with over five local churches volunteering members of their worship teams to lead the crowd in songs of adoration and gratitude. The sound of unified voices singing to the same God was powerful and deeply moving. In between worship sets, stories of recovery and transformation were shared by members of the Enrich team and from others in the community. These testimonies reminded us that God is actively working, bringing restoration to lives that once felt hopeless. And Encounter Church was honored to be a part of such event.

To open the night, our very own Pastor Jamie Jordan delivered a heartfelt word and prayer, reminding us that worship is more than music—it’s a lifestyle of surrender and trust in God. He spoke encouragement over those in recovery and those still searching for light in the darkness.

Zak Coleman, who leads sound and tech for Encounter Church, stepped in to help with production for the event, ensuring the message and music could be experienced clearly and fully by everyone in attendance. His service behind the scenes played a key role in making the night run smoothly—and his heart for worship was evident in every detail.

Several members of EC were available throughout the evening to pray with anyone in need of encouragement or healing. Many took the opportunity to receive prayer, and it was clear that the Holy Spirit was moving among the people gathered.

Enrich’s mission to support individuals with “alternative resumes” is deeply aligned with the heart of the gospel: restoring what was broken and giving hope to the hopeless. Events like Night of Praise prove that when the Church comes together across walls and denominations, God does something extraordinary.

We’re grateful to be part of this movement—and we’re proud of our EC family for stepping up to serve and support it.

Let’s keep saying yes to every opportunity to shine the light of Jesus in our city.
