Life Group In The Sun

Summer fun hit full stride as Encounter Church brought back one of our favorite traditions—the annual 125-foot waterslide! On an extra hot Wednesday evening, EC held Supercell Life Group. Families from EC gathered to laugh, splash, and make memories that will last all year long.

Armed with Dawn dish soap, water hoses, and plenty of courage, kids and teens took turn after turn zooming down the massive waterslide, landing in a splash zone of grass and giggles. If you weren’t soaked, sudsy, and covered in blades of grass by the end—you weren’t doing it right. We even got some of the local kids in the neighborhood to join in the fun!

In true EC fashion, things got competitive and creative—especially when a football was introduced. Sliding full speed while tossing spirals down the hill became the ultimate challenge (and a favorite moment for many of the older kids!).

While the fun was flowing on the slide, the Jordan family hosted a delicious summertime taco dinner in their driveway. The smell of taco meat, fresh toppings, and warm tortillas filled the air, offering a perfect moment of fellowship and rest between slides. There’s just something special about sharing a meal with your church family in the middle of joyful chaos!

At Encounter Church, we believe fun is sacred too. Laughter, connection, and shared memories are part of how God knits us together as a community. And what better way to celebrate summer and each other than by sliding into it—literally?

To every volunteer, every parent who stayed to cheer from the sidelines, and every brave soul who slid with grass stuck to their elbows—thank you for making this another unforgettable year. We’re already counting down until next time!
