EC Serves At Madison Home

This month, Encounter Church had the privilege of serving at Madison Home, a local ministry dedicated to providing shelter and care for those experiencing homelessness in our community. As the colder months approach, Madison Home opens its doors to even more individuals in need, and our EC family stepped up to help prepare for the winter season.

Our volunteers spent the day moving mattresses and bed frames, organizing supplies, and setting up rooms so they would be ready to welcome guests. It was hands-on work, but every task was done with the heart of Christ in mind—creating a safe and comfortable space for those who will seek shelter during the cold months ahead

By helping to prepare the rooms, we weren’t just arranging furniture; we were making space for dignity, warmth, and hope. Each bed that was moved and each room that was readied is a reminder that the church is called to care for “the least of these” in practical and tangible ways.

We are so thankful for everyone who took the time to serve and show love through action. Madison Home’s winter shelter will provide safety and relief for many people in the months ahead, and Encounter Church was blessed to play a small part in that mission.

Thank you, Madison Home, for the incredible work you’re doing in our community, and thank you to every EC volunteer who gave their time and energy. This is what it means to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
